Abstract

|
This study analyzed the experiences of workers in the field of job practice for the elderly, which can be both a field of social welfare and a field of labor during the COVID-19 period. The purpose of this study was to explore how well the job opportunities for the elderly performed in the local community, how they proceeded and responded to, what difficulties they encountered, and what their response strategies were. In-depth interviews were conducted with 8 seniorclub employees in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do, who experienced the severe crisis of Corona 19 at the earliest, and analyzed through the inductive thematic analysis method. As a result of the study, in three areas, ‘chaos and survival’, ‘business resumption amid social distancing’, ‘busy field’, ‘stability above landmines’, ‘problem rising above the surface’, and ‘with-corona countermeasures’ 6 themes and 23 categories of were derived. Based on the research results, suggestions and several follow-up studies were proposed on the role of workers in the field of job practice for the elderly and the direction of change in the elderly job project during the With Corona era. It can catch both rabbits of welfare and labor.
